The Sarandons

If Junction City had a Blockbuster videoesque “STAFF PICKS” wall then this band would be permanently stacked on it. Their fresh ride on the old alt-country road atop a classic rocking horse has cemented this gang of world wisened gunslingers as one of the best to ever grace our stage.

Come and feel it. Like the mighty pine on the ponderosa - You can’t help but grow.

It’s the Sarandons, kid. Catch up.

SINGLES (90's Tribute Band)

Singles

The Junction City stalwart 90’s tribute band. From a time when you had to tape videos off Much Music so you could listen to your favourite songs, this band are less nostalgia trippers than expert players bringing these anthems of slack and circumstance into a modern context as eternal documents of rock.

Jim Junior

It is wonderful when good things happen to good people. Longtime friend of the JCMH and gifted soulman Mr. Jim Junior is home from recording in the UK. To say he will have treats to share and new levels to flex would be to set a bar, and that would be unfair because incomparable performer is capable of height we can’t currently imagine.

This dude comes by his current ascent to the big time through the honest alchemy of talent, patience, and hard work. All it will take from you to see a star of tomorrow on the rise is to get through the hallway and onto the dancefloor.

A rare Toronto show. Whatever comes next for this powerful artist will be huge. You’ll have to come and ask him who he’s been talking to…

BEACH FOX

Beach Fox are a band that have drawn comparisons to The Velvet Underground, Kinks, Modern Lovers, pre megafame/aliens Blink 182, and that’s just round the uber critical Junction City water cooler.

There are many reasons why this kinetic and heart stirring sound has led to a proliferation of high profile gigs in this band’s few years on the scene.

With the addition of ace bassist Keilah Crocker this band has taken a rock solid power pop and fun post-punk formula and braced for the bright lights of the arenas and theatres they are destined to destroy.

Catch them in an intimate setting while you still can.

The Nameless Citizens mission is to capture key moments in our everyday lives, weaving simple themes and melodies into a complex, rich tapestry of music reflecting the serendipitous nature of life itself. Offering a unique brand of intellectual pop-rock, The NC’s combines influences from rock groups such as Pearl Jam, The Killers and The Red Hot Chili Peppers, the flowing pop-rock of Coldplay and U2, and the cerebral music of Sting and Peter Gabriel.

Sleepless Nights

Screen Shot 2019-07-04 at 4.26.10 PM.png

These dudes fucking rip. One of the coolest and most fun live acts on the scene right now. Buckle up.

In the mid-aughts, Sleepless Nights carved out their reputation as one of the hardest working bands on the East Coast of Canada. By their final tours in 2009, when the group was put on indefinite hiatus, Sleepless Nights were playing an entire new, unreleased set of songs. There was a miffed attempt at capturing them in 2011, but no recordings were ever completed. In June 2016, approaching the 10-year anniversary of their breakout EP, Hang Up, Sleepless Nights reconvened for a weekend of recording in Toronto at Taurus Recording with Thomas D’Arcy (Small Sins/The Ladies and Gentlemen, k-os) to archive four of those songs. With former member Matt MacDonald (The Superfantastics) joining them in studio, the band recorded Keith Hamilton – an EP that chronicles the now seasoned musicians returning to their roots.

Vocals, Guitar, Keys / A.A. Wallace
Bass / Michael Small
Drums / Myles Deck
